Sammy Lee

Head of Player Development

Sammy grew up playing baseball competitively throughout his childhood and high school years, with no background in racquet sports. When he discovered pickleball at age 12, he was instantly hooked and became obsessed with improving every aspect of his game. His dedication, competitiveness, willingness to learn, and exceptional eye for the game allowed him to progress rapidly through the amateur ranks and into the professional level.

Today, Sammy competes professionally on both the PPA Tour and APP Tour, while also playing top-level local events when he’s not on the court coaching. Along the way, he has earned wins over top professional players including Roscoe Bellamy, Matt Wright, Rafa Hewett, Greg Dow, Rob Nunnery, and Juan Benitez.

He currently holds a DUPR rating of 5.75.

Sammy is returning to Minnesota after spending the past year in Arizona, where he successfully helped build, grow, and lead a thriving pickleball academy. During his time there, he coached players of every level – from beginners to touring professionals. Through proven lesson structures, programming, and a passion for player development, Sammy helps every athlete build strong skills, develop winning strategies, and improve in a focused, fun, and encouraging environment.

Sammy is excited to join Pints and Paddle to help players elevate their skills while continuing to grow the local pickleball community. His focus is on helping players of all levels improve through private lessons, weekly programs, clinics, and much more. Whatever it takes, whether it’s footwork, strategy, technique, or the way of approaching the game, Sammy looks forward to bringing out the very best in every player who steps on the court!
